Athul P.T., alumnus of Saraswathi Vidyalaya, from the 2022-23 batch, had made us all proud with his incredible success in the Class 12 CBSE Board Exam 23, by being the top scorer in the Science stream, with 98% marks. The latest addition to Saraswathi Vidyalayas infinite list of achievements, for this academic year, is the 22nd Pravasi Bharathi (Kerala) Award, conferred to honour exemplary performances in a broad spectrum of pursuits and contributions. Saraswathi Vidyalaya was bestowed with this highly acclaimed award for being the Best Excellence School Of CBSE In Kerala. The award ceremony was held on the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas, celebrated every year, to acknowledge the contribution of overseas Indian community in the development of India. The Vice Chairperson of Saraswathi Group of Institutions, Dr Devi Mohan received the award from Adv. G.R. Anil, Honble Minister for Food and Civil Supplies, Govt of Kerala, in the presence of Shri. N.K. Premachandran, Member of Parliament. To be endowed with such a prestigious award is a matter of immense honour and pride for Saraswathi Vidyalaya and serves as a catalyst for achieving greater accomplishments.

The skilled linguists of Saraswathi Vidyalaya competed in SpellBee Internationals Interschool Level Competition, under the Strategic Language Enhancement Programme. Keeping up with its invincible reputation, students from Saraswathi Vidyalaya excelled in the competition and emerged as school toppers, scoring full marks. Apart from being awarded medals for their exceptionally competent performance, they were also given certificates of achievement to acknowledge their proficiency in the language. The adept and diligent sporting champs of Saraswathi Vidyalaya performed exceedingly well in the State Level Central School Sports Meet, held at Kozhikode, on 6th January, 2024. Through disciplined coaching routines and well executed practice sessions, students excelled in their performances, creating an impression of perseverant, passionate and dedicated sportsmen, whos efforts led to Saraswathi Vidyalaya bagging the 2nd Runners-up trophy, at State Level. Shreyas Krishna, of Class 12, received the Bronze medal for Under-19 Boys Shot Put, while Anaswara A., Anamika M., Archana P. Nair and Sania Shaji, Classes 11 and 12 bagged bronze medals for Under-19 Girls 400 mts relay. One such proud moment for Saraswathi Vidyalaya is when our alumna, Ms. Shraddha Sharad Patil, of 2013-14 batch, received the prestigious Kerala State award for Best Hi-tech Farmer 2023, for her exemplary contribution and innovative approach in the field of Horticulture. Ms. Shraddha, who pursued her higher education from Netherlands, is the proud owner of the high-tech nursery Orchiroids, that primarily focuses on growing and producing tropical indoor plants. Using highly innovative techniques, she has made her mark by boosting greenhouse horticulture in Kerala, and by following her passion to achieve her dream she is constantly inspiring many young entrepreneurs to step out of comfort zones and aspire to attain their goals, through hardwork and persistence. Through her endeavour she has not just made her place among young inspiring icons but has also successfully contributed to the society by generating employment opportunities to unskilled labour and the less privileged sector of the society, mainly women. She has made her presence felt in media platforms by her appearance in Kissan Krishi Deepam Online Edition and Farm Investigation Bureau Online Edition. The seminar was graced with the delightful presence of our Honorable Vice Chairperson, Dr. Devi Mohan and our esteemed Principal, Smt. Shylaja O.R.. The seminar, facilitated by the ISE Education and Media Pvt.Ltd., concentrated on providing thorough information to aspiring medical students about numerous courses they can select from, such as Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry and Biomedical Engineering. Other basic information, such as the topography of Iasi, general living standards, student communities, facilities for new comers, affiliation details, etc., were presented through an impressive video presentation. The chief spokesperson, Dr. Georgeta Liliana Foia, Vice-Vector and Professor, UMP, along with her team of delegates, Alumni of the University and the core members of ISE Education and Media Pvt. Ltd., presented an extremely effective session and willingly addressed the queries / doubts of the students through an interactive Q&A session. The guests were bestowed with momentos intrinsically connected to our States tradition and they were truly pleased to witness a magnificent Kalaripayattu presentation by student trainees pursuing the martial art form.

Anirudh Krishna, of Class 5, Saraswathi Vidyalaya, won the Bala Pratibha Puraskar presented by the Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Study Center, on 15th October, 2023, by the Honorable Minister of Food and Civil Supplies, Govt. Of Kerala, Adv. G.R. Anil. On a platform exhibiting the talent of over 6000 students, from Primary school to High school levels, Anirudh Krishna emerged as the most multi-talented child winning a trophy and certificate, along with being crowned the Bala Pratibha. He impressively participated in and proved his skills and brilliance in a wide range of activities, like acting, modelling, dance, academic skills, etc., ultimately winning the title. The highlights of the event were wonderfully rendered folk songs and beautifully choreographed dances, Katha Prasangam, Kalaripayattu, Duff- mutt, Kerala Nadanam etc. The students were applauded and appreciated for their mesmerizing participation and were encouraged by the inspiring and motivating message and graceful presence of our dear Principal, Smt. Shylaja O.R., making the event more memorable.

Paying homage to veterans is one of the virtues that help in shaping dedicated, patriotic and compassionate youth, that further contribute in building a powerful nation. Saraswathi Vidyalaya recognises its role as an educational institution, that takes the onus of nurturing young minds, and constantly strives to plan, implement and promote activities that lead to building an incredibly productive and responsible student community. The RUN FOR UNITY, carried out on Rashtriya Ekta Divas, observed to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, on 31st October, every year, was successfully organised by Saraswathi Vidyalaya. Numerous activities were conducted, that reflect on our resolve to instill, in the minds of our students, a sense of commitment to respect and strengthen the integrity and solidarity of our nation, such as the solemn Rashtriya Ekta Divas pledge, taken by the students during the morning assembly, Run For Unity, painting competition and essay writing competition. Saraswathi Vidyalaya, always, works diligently to ensure that we efficaciously fulfill our duties and responsibilities towards our society and our nation.

Saraswathi Vidyalaya, in association with Raising Our Voices Foundation, conducted Page Turners - A Journey Through The Riveting World Of Books on 20th October, 2023. The pivotal aim of the event was to deepen their understanding of prevalent social challenges and injustices, their causes, effects and solutions, through the medium of highly inspiring books. The event, skillfully presented by students from Classes 5 to 8, showcased a perfect blend of talent and hardwork to conceptualize, design and execute an array of captivating activities, such as short skits, short speeches, art presentation and an enthralling debate, that reflected on their recognition and acceptance of social issues and their determination to ensure that the coming generation is well informed and can successfully break the chains of injustices and discriminations. Embracing the festive spirits, Saraswathi Vidyalaya devoutly celebrated Saraswathi Pooja on the last days of this years Navratri Festival. The traditional and customary Kolu was magnificently displayed and prayers and offerings were conducted to seek the divine blessings and grace of Maa Saraswathi, the Goddess of knowledge and wisdom. On Vijayadashami, or Dussehra, observed on 24th October, 2023, the Management, staff and students of Saraswathi Vidyalaya gathered at the school premises to offer their prayers, among the chanting of hymns and shlokas, making this ocassion more glorious and delightful. Faculty members of every department and students had placed their books and stationary near the place of worship and these were handed over by our Honorable Chairman, Dr. G. Rajamohan to them after the completion of the rituals. Saraswathi Pooja is extremely significant to young learners and seekers of knowledge and wisdom and we hope that the grace of the Goddess keeps this pursuit of theirs blessed.

Continuing their winning streak, students of Saraswathi Vidyalaya bagged the Overall Champions title at Rendez_vous 23, an interschool talent fest organised by Sarvodaya Vidyalaya, on 21st October, 2023. The fest comprised of diverse competitive events that encompassed a wide range of activities such as music competition, literary contest, dance competition, sports, fashion, etc.. Showcasing their skills and talents, students of Saraswathi Vidyalaya diligently competed with participant schools to win the grand title of Overall Champions and brought pride and glory to the school.

Department of Social Science, Saraswathi Vidyalaya, replicated the 18th G20 Summit on 11th October, 2023. In their attempt to impeccably recreate the Summit on stage, students gave utmost importance to every single detail making the event a tremendous success. As our country proudly executed its Presidency of the 18th G20 Summit, our students recreated the event by admirably presenting every feature of the Summit, from impersonating the global delegates of the participant countries, to splendidly performing the tribal dance forms of Kerala and Arunachal Pradesh, to graciously rendering Vande Mataram composed by the music maestro A.R. Rahman and adding extra vibrancy by representing the states of India in their respective traditional attires. The truly motivating and affectionate presence of our Vice Chairperson, Dr. Devi Mohan and our Principal, Smt. Shylaja O.R encouraged the students to perform brilliantly.

Departments of Psychology and Fashion Studies , Saraswathi Vidyalaya, jointly engineered a hysterical marvel - ILLUSTROGUE : Illuminate Your Mind, Elevate Your Style on 12 th October, 2023. The creative spectacle aimed at generating an awareness on various psychological conditions through a fashion show. Movie clips indicating disorders were displayed and was creatively exhibited on the ramp by students, with a detailed description of the correlation between the psychological disorder and the fashion element. The awareness, thus, created focused on removing the stigma associated with mental health issues and encouraging individuals to seek help without hesitation. The message being conveyed through brilliantly artistic designs added greater impact. The programme concluded with a stunning choreography indicating the healing process and reinforcing the fact that ones strength, resilience and self-acceptance is essential to heal from their condition.

Department of Physics organised the World Space Week Celebration from 5th October to 10th October, 2023. The week long celebration comprised of activities to genuinely kindle the scientific curiosity and wonder of young minds. From conducting short conversation sessions during morning assembly, to leaving the students spell bound with an effective video presentation that was displayed as a tribute to the ISRO and conducting an extremely engaging quiz competition that tested the knowledge and intelligence of students, the event proved to be a perfect blend of splendid learning and cognizance.

On 25th September, 2023, students of Saraswathi Vidyalaya, accompanied by our Vice Chairperson, Dr. Devi Mohan and a group of teachers, visited the legendary Actor - Director Shri. Madhu, at his residence, to spend memorable moments in his presence as he celebrated his 90th birthday. Madhu Sir, as hes lovingly addressed by the students of Saraswathi Vidyalaya, is very closely associated with our school as being one the minds that conceptualized and laid the foundation of this esteemed institution. As Madhu Sir spent a few mome interacting with our students, it left them in awe and with a deep rooted sense of love. They expressed their happiness and excitement by gifting him flowers and a hand drawn portrait of his. These special moments will, forever, be etched in the hearts of our students. We sincerely pray and wish that may our dear Madhu Sir have a blessed, happy and prosperous year ahead and may he continue to inspire and motivate us for years to come.

Saraswathi Vidyalaya immensely appreciates Neha Anoop, of Class 12, for her incredible achievement of participating in the 20 - day Artek Camp conducted from July 14 to August 5, 2023. Artek is an international childrens centre, established in 1925, in Russia, and serves as a platform for students from different countries to interact with each other and gain and exchange wholesome knowledge and experience. Neha Anoop, inspired by the book Beena Kanda Russia by K.R. Beena, achieved this opportunity by participating in the All India level competition conducted by Russian Houses in five major cities. Her report on Artek International Childrens Centre and on MP Binoy Viswams experience on his visit to Artek, earned her the chance to be a part of this prestigious camp, comprising of students from 52 countries. Neha Anoop, one among the three students selected from Trivandrum, shared her experience during an interactive session at the Russian House, Trivandrum, on Thursday, 21st September,2023. As the name suggests, the event Midsummer Splendour, organised by the Department of English, Saraswathi Vidyalaya, on the 22nd of August, 2023, was a perfect blend of splendid performances and brilliant presentation of aptitude and genius, alongwith unparalleled dynamism. Students participated with all their energy and enthusiasm, ensuring that every aspect of the programme was praise worthy. All the sub events of the programme were based on the idea that , though, the English language is an integral and inseparable part of a students academic journey, it is also one of the most loved and enjoyed subjects. The programme comprised of a group song presented by the students from classes 3-5, a short skit on Tenses, an enactment of the famous Russian play The Proposal written by Anton Chekhov, a quiz on Languages Across the World and a few other fun and interactive activities. Students of the Department of French presented a French group song that was truly captivating.

The famous saying, We become what we eat, is specially applicable in recent times as we witness a rise in lifestyle and diet associated diseases. Eating right is a fundamental requirement for living a wholesome and illness free life. Inculcating such valuable concepts, in the minds of our students, has always been a matter of great importance for Saraswathi Vidyalaya. In this regard, on 8th September, 2023, students of class 9 visited NIIST Pappanamcode, to participate in the EAT RIGHT - MILLET MELA, an event organized by FSSAI and CSIR. The event was inaugurated by Smt. Veena George, the Honourable Minister of State for Health, who emphasized the importance of millets for a healthy lifestyle , particularly in the context of disease prevention. Other speakers at the programme, Shri. V. R. Vinod, IAS, Commissioner Food Safety, Smt. Jyothi Lekshmi, Senior Dietitian, SCTIMST (Trivandrum) and Dr. Smitha K. P., Assistant Professor, College of Agriculture (Trivandrum), emphasised how millets, being powerhouses of essential nutrients, play a crucial role in managing and preventing various diseases related to modern lifestyles, such as diabetes, obesity and heart ailments. This educative and highly informative expedition enlightened and motivated the students to make apt dietary choices to lead a perfectly healthy and happy life.

Saraswathi Vidyalaya, in association with Insight for Innovation, an NGO that aims at providing better opportunities for basic education to the underprivileged children, and the District Administration conducted a book donation campaign, on the 8th of September, 2023. Students, from classes 1 to 8, were encouraged to wholeheartedly donate books and become an integral part in changing the lives of needy, young students. Over 1000 books were handed over to the representatives of Insight for Innovation, by our Principal, Smt. Shylaja O.R., alongwith our students. By providing an opportunity to the students to contribute to this noble cause, Saraswathi Vidyalaya succeeded in instilling the qualities of empathy, compassion and social consciousness in them, supporting our students to develop into responsible citizens of tomorrow.

Saraswathi Vidyalaya earnestly works towards and focuses on providing and exposing its students to a wide range of educative and enriching endeavours, that allow them to grow and develop into well informed and productive members of the society. On the 7th of September, 2023, Wg Cdr Ragashree D. Nair (Rtd), the Mentor Of Change (MOC), assigned to our school by the Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), NITI Aayog, visited our school. The Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL) / Robotics Club members gave a warm welcome to our chief guest, who then addressed the students with a motivating speech, encouraging them to take their projects to greater extents and create a remarkable impact on the society. The students were appreciated for their innovative ideas and efforts. The winners of the Idea Pitching Competition presented their concepts using Powerpoint presentations. The ATL incharge then summarised the numerous ATL activities conducted throughout the academic year, such as the Robotics programmes for students of classes 1 to 9, Science Corner activities, Robotics videos, Techtalk and Techbyte sessions, Idea Pitching competitions, interschool competitions, ATL workshops, ATL/Robotic Club activities and participation in INSPIRE Awards-MANAK Competition. Students felt highly inspired and encouraged to continue their dedicated efforts to excel in the field.

The successful landing of Chandrayan-3 on the Moon, was an answer to the anxious and overwhelming prayers that resonated in the hearts of every Indian today. It is a landmark day that calls for celebration and jubilation that was made possible by the endless hours of hardwork and unparalleled brilliance of the scientists of ISRO. As Chandrayan-3 landed on the moon, it turned into a global and historic spectacle, giving India its much appreciated and commendable acclaim. We, the members of Saraswathi Vidyalaya family, reverently and enthusiastically applaud the entire team of ISRO scientists and every one behind the grand project.

The winners of the Mann Ki Baat Quiz Competition from Saraswathi Vidyalaya, Avani Anand Kurup ( of class 9) and Niranjana R. (of class 12), who were fortunate to have the golden chance to interact with the Vice President of India, and witness this years Independence Day celebrations, at New Delhi, were also privileged to have the grand opportunity to meet and be in the inspiring presence of the Honorable President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu. They could meet and engage with a few Union Ministers as well, like the Defence Minister, Shri Rajnath Singh, the Finance Minister, Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman and the Minister of External Affairs, Shri. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar . These life changing moments will, forever, leave a positive imprint on the minds of these young Indians.

Under the patronage of the National Gatka Association of India (NGAI), the Gatka Federation of India (GFI) and the Sports Ministry of the Government of India, the 7th National Gatka Championship was held on the 4th, 5th and 6th of August, 2023, at the Karmabir Nabin Chandra Bordoloi Indoor Stadium in Guwahati, Assam. Gatka, the traditional martial art form of the Sikhs of Punjab, instills self confidence to face challenges with skill and ease, alongwith enhancing physical and mental strength. Over 150 participants took part in the championship this year. Devadath A., studying in Class 5, Saraswathi Vidyalaya, won the silver medal, in the Under-11 Individual Soti category. Saraswathi Vidyalaya extends its hearty congratulations to Devadath for his commendable accomplishment.

Saraswathi Vidyalaya collaborated with Malayala Manorama, in their initiative Read & Win, that aims at cultivating effective reading habits among school students. In their preliminary phase, students from classes 9 to 12, were subjected to a writing test, comprising of a set of questions, to be completed within a specified time limit. Sai Govind, of class 10, emerged as the winner of the preliminary contest, while Keerthana I.S., of class 9, secured the second position and Pranav Sankar, of class 12, came third. Students also attended an informative session on numerous venues for higher education that can be pursued after completing school. A prize distribution was held , post session, to acknowledge the winners.

Kids Can, an exceptional project, that aims at creating an awareness about Cancer - its causes, symptoms, preventive measures, treatment and diagnostic advancements, was flagged off on 7th August, 2023, at Saraswathi Vidyalaya Senior Secondary School, Vattiyoorkavu, by the joint efforts of the Kerala Association of Surgical Oncology (KASO), Swasthi Foundation and Saraswathi Group of Institutions. As the first step, an extensive awareness session was conducted at Saraswathi Vidyalaya. The session was undertaken by the core team members of the Kids Can Project, Dr. Babu Mathew, (Retd. Professor Community Oncology, RCC, Tvm), Dr. Chandramohan K. ( Additional Professor Surgical Oncology, RCC, Tvm) and Dr. Deepa Susan Joy Philip ( Assistant Professor Medical Oncology, RCC, Tvm). The main highlights of the session were imparting knowledge on the various types of Cancers that are commonly prevalent, alongwith their respective preventive measures, significance of early detection, dietary changes that can help in reducing or avoiding Cancer, following consistent exercise routines, inculcating healthy lifestyle choices and the latest advancements made in the field of Cancer diagnosis and treatment. Addressing the student volunteers, Dr. Devi Mohan,Vice Chairperson ,Saraswathi Vidyalaya, accentuated the fact that the role played by young students, in the fight against Cancer, is of great importance and is the need of the hour. She gave prominence to the concept that students, actively participating, as ambassadors of Cancer awareness, will result in bringing about a positive shift in the existing crusade against Cancer. The session, not only guided and motivated the students to become valuable and empowered volunteers of the Kids Can Project, but also instilled in them the compassion to actively and responsibly serve their community, by advancing the mission of the project.

Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan organised a Taluk level Quiz Competition, marking the 100th episode of Mann ki Baat, on 30th July,2023. Students from Saraswathi Vidyalaya participated at the High School as well as at the Higher Secondary School levels. Our students procured, both the first and the second positions, at each of these levels. The winners have won the golden opportunity to visit New Delhi during the next Independence Day celebrations. They will be fortunate to interact with the Honourable President and the Honourable Prime Minister of India and will be visiting historical monuments and places of national importance, such as Pradhan Mantri Sangrahalaya, Rashtrapati Bhavan, Parliament House , etc.

Saraswathi Vidyalaya, once again, brought home the Overall Championship trophy of La Gestion -The Ultimate 2k23, a management fest. Our students secured the first position in all the sub events of the competition, setting an example with their outstanding performances, characterised by sheer hardwork, incontestable proficiency and exceptional winning spirit. To honour our martyrs, who laid their lives on the line of duty, during the unrest in Kargil, we observe the Kargil Vijay Diwas. Saraswathi Vidyalaya and the Akhila Bharateeya Poorva Sainik Seva Parishad ( Trivandrum Jilla Committee), unitedly came forward to pay homage to our soldiers. The occasion was graced by Major General Alok Beri, ADG NCC ( Kerala and Lakshadweep), alongwith other respectable members of the defence forces and ex-servicemen.

In connection with the celebration of 100th episode of Prime Minister’s monthly radio address “ Mann Ki Baat”, Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, Kerala zone in association for High School, Higher Secondary School and College Students at Trivandrum District at Saraswathi Vidyalaya on 30th June 2023 in the school auditorium. The inaugural ceremony started with a warm welcome of the dignitaries by Dr. Devi Mohan, Vice Chairperson, Saraswathi Vidyalaya. Shri M. Anilkumar, NYKS, State Director, Kerala Zone delivered the introductory speech. The Presidential address was delivered by Dr. G. Rajamohan, Chairman, Saraswathi Vidyalaya.

Students are the torch bearers of tomorrow, each being unique in his / her own way. Amid the distinctiveness,lies the treasure trove of young leaders. Saraswathi Vidyalaya held its Investiture Ceremony on 20th July,2023, where the newly appointed Student Council was inducted. Our chief guest for the event, Shri Hari Shankar, IPS, SP Information Communication and Technology, Cyber Operations, addressed the gathering with his motivational words. Designated students were conferred upon with badges and sashes, by our chief guest, entrusting them with the responsibility to take the school to greater heights with their leadership, commitment and dedication. Our principal, Smt. Shylaja O.R, administered the oath to the newly formed Student Council and encouraged them to assume their duties with diligence and sincerity. The occasion was also graced by our Vice Chairperson, Dr. Devi Mohan.

Students of Saraswathi Vidyalaya superlatively performed in CRE8 2k23, the interschool spectacle in which our students brilliantly showcased their talents in numerous sub - events of the competition. We bagged the 1st prize for The Crown (a test of personality), while securing the 2nd place in View Point (photography contest) and in Palette Play (contest of artistic expression). Our students won the 3rd prize for Encore (music competition), Project Runway (fashion feud) and Fusion X (dance competition). Saraswathi Vidyalaya won the Runners up trophy, leaving behind an overwhelming impression.

Interschool competitive events, for the academic year 2023-24 , were flagged off with La Fest 23. Students of Saraswathi Vidyalaya participated in this event brimming with enthusiasm and confidence. We bagged the 1st prize for PITCH 101 and the 2nd prize for DanceoMania. Our students had an enriching experience and they were able to express their creativity and talent.

July 18th, 2023, dawned with the unfortunate news of the sorrowful demise of our former Chief Minister, Shri Oommen Chandy, an exemplary leader and politician, a humble and kind hearted person. His passing may mark the end of an era in Kerala politics, but his legacy shall live on in our hearts forever. He shall be cherished as a beloved leader for generations to come.

The official inauguration of the programme and unveiling of the logo (NSDC, International Skill Centre) was done by Shri V Muraleedharan (Hon’ble Union Minister for state for external affairs & Parliamentary affairs) and logo was received by Dr. Devi Mohan (Vice Chairperson, Saraswathi Vidyalaya). The gathering was felicitated by Shri G Sreedhar (NSS, Regional Director) and Dr A Radhakrishnan Nair (Ex, Registrar, Kasarkode Central University), rendered the key note address. The programme added with the vote of thanks proposed by Shri Rajesh Kumar (NYKS, Trivandrum District Youth Office).

To encourage the reading habits, to keep in touch with what is happening around us, Saraswathi Vidyalaya in association with Malayala Manorama organized “Vayana kalari”. On Doctors Day, our students of class XII experienced a day in the life of doctors and health workers, by being a part of the Doctors Day Shadow Programme, organised by SP Well Fort Hospital, Sasthamangalam. Working alongside the real life saviours, these impressionable minds came back inspired and filled with zeal to carry their work forward and contribute selflessly to society.

Saraswathi Vidyalaya celebrated International Yoga Day on June 21, offering a platform for students to embrace Yoga and experience the positive impact. Yoga day celebration began with mass yoga practice for students under the guidance of the yoga instructor. Gurujii Sree Rishisagar, the founder of Sreerishi Global Sathsangam, Centre of Yoga, Meditation and Psychological counselling, was the chief guest of the day.Gurujii s speech has given a valuable insight into the physical, mental and emotional benefits of practicing yoga. The event left a lasting impression on students inspiring them to continue their journey through yoga and lead a healthy , balanced life.

Honouring the father of the Library Movement, the late P.N.Panicker and to acknowledge the importance of reading, we at Saraswathi Vidyalaya celebrated 26th National Reading Day on 19th June 2023. To make this day fruitful for students, various activities were organised. In order to inculcate reading of classicals, a dramatic monologue was enacted from Shakespeare famous play Macbeth. As a part of encouraging budding poets and writers, poetry recitation was conducted where students rendered poetry of their own creation (English & Malayalam). Children’s literature plays a vital role in every child’s life. Children acted various characters from children’s literature. A small quiz on literature was conducted in all the three languages (English, Hindi, Malayalam). Libraries open doors to near life and friends. A short video on collection of books (home library) by students added value of books in a student’s life. The program ended with a Malayalam skit on inculcating reading habits in a child’s life which was inspiring and motivating.

We are proud to announce that Neha Anoop, a student in grade XII G, had the chance to take part in the 20-day Artek camp (Russia) in August. Her research on the history of the famous Artek resident (Shri.Binoy Viswam) in the contest People of Artek fetched her this honour. The autonomous non-profit organisation "Lets Do It Together" is organising the "People of Artek" contest. Artek camp is the first, largest and the most prestigious Soviet Young Pioneer camp. It was founded in 1925 on the Crimean shore of the Black Sea as a Childrens sanitarium. We are indeed proud of our student, Neha Anoop for having got this opportunity . Successfully cleared National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) Entrance Examination, 2023

Saraswathi Vidyalaya , Vattiyoorkavu kept its date with history by repeating 100% pass result. In the CBSE Class XII Examination, out of a total of 307 students, who appeared for the exam, 301 students scored first class. 142 students got distinction and 61 students achieved more than 90% marks. Athul P T with 98% marks scored the highest in the Science stream, Anurudh R was the top scorer in the Humanities stream with 98% and Kamala Krishna D S along with Vandana A R were the toppers in the Commerce stream with 96.6%.

Saraswathi Vidyalaya, Vattiyoorkavu in keeping up with its tradition of a 100% pass, did itself proud this year too. Out of 299 students who appeared for the CBSE class 10 examination 274 students got a First Class, 142 students have distinction and 61 students scored over 90% marks. Sriya S Nireesh was the top scorer with 98 percent.

At the Khelo India Youth Games 2022, our student Vedhika V Nair of Class XII A won the silver medal for Kalaripayattu in the Chuvadu discipline. We congratulate our student and wish her well in her future endeavours.

Akshit Narayan of class 7B participated in the Kerala State Squash Rackets closed championship 2022-23 conducted by the Kerala Squash Rackets Association at Cochin and Kottayam from 4 to 6 February 2023. He won the silver medal for category Boys under 13.

As part of Yoga Department activity, students were taken to Sivananda Ashram on 19.11.2022. Students were welcomed warmly and twelve asanas which would be beneficial in our daily lives was demonstrated and students too took part in it. The importance of “Satvik” food that was served to the students was explained. As part of Karma Yoga, students helped to clean the room in which they did the yoga services.

Saraswathi Vidyalaya won a massive victory in the Kerala State CBSE Arts Festival by placing first at the district level. Saraswathi Vidyalaya took the first position in the district and fourth place in the Kerala State CBSE Arts Festival, held from November 24 through 27, 2022. The ecstatic pupils of Saraswathi Vidyalaya have now accomplished this coveted feat twice.

Saraswathi Vidyalaya on 29th November 2022 organised a trip to the Toonz animation academy, Technopark, Kazhakoottam for students of classes 11 and 12 who were interested in animation. The staff explained about how students can pursue animation as our career and introduced the rising opportunities in the field. By the end of the trip, students also realised that animation as a career is not only for creative people, but also for people who are good at logical reasoning and science . The trip had truly changed the perspectives of animation.

At the quiz competition Arena, conducted by St. Thomas Central School, Trivandrum Akshay Krishna Sooraj of VII B and Kailas Vineet Mohan of VI F bagged the second position amid stiff competition. Congratulations to our students and wishing them well for the future.

Remembering all those whom one lost and those who are still suffering ,Students of class XII carried banners and placards to sensitise students of lower grades not to discriminate those who are suffering from this disease.Students lit a candle and held it as a mark of respect. It was indeed a very moving sight when all stood together to commemorate a day which affects us all worldwide.

Brain Battle Season 3, an inter school quiz competition for students from CBSE, ICSE, IGCSE and State board schools was organised by Club FM, Mathrubhumi and Zephyr at Saraswathi Vidyalaya on 28/11/22 . In the Grand Finale with Rahul Easwar as the Quiz Master Anirudh P and Devika P of Class X A emerged winners. They received the winners trophy for School and mementos and cash prize of Rs 15000/-

On Friday, November 26, 2022, at Saraswathi Vidyalaya, Centre of excellence, CBSE conducted a sensitization programme on "Financial Literacy and Use of Digital Tools" for the teaching community. Mr Prasanna Kumar, Faculty ICMA institute led the class. Smt. Shylaja O. R, Principal, Saraswathi Vidyalaya extended a warm welcome to the resource person and all the teachers. The facilitator led us through several retirement plans and practical financial strategies. He also advised us on how to use digital payments wisely and responsibly. O.R. officially handed over the charge of the days activities by giving away the symbolic key to the student council and also addressed the assembly, conveying the message of the day. A role reversal was planned and accordingly , student teachers went to the respective classrooms and started taking class. A valedictory function was held during the afternoon session ,in which ,the best student teacher from each department was awarded. Student teachers narrated their unique experiences of the day. Altogether, it was a very special and memorable day for the students as well as teachers.

Kerala piravi day 2022 was made memorable by the Department of Malayalam who through "Saraswatham" conducted a range of activities Thanima 2022. Programmes included Malayali Manga and Malayali Mannan contest,Nadan pattu, Kathaprasangam etc. The highlight of the programme was the Ottamthullal performed by Adirtha of Class VIII E. Vice Chairperson Dr. Devi Mohan and Principal ,Mrs.Shylaja O R distributed the sash to the winners of Malayali Manga, (Krishnapriya ) and Malayali Mannan (Giri Sankar) contest.

Saraswathi Vidyalaya had the honour to host Ms Julia Filippova from the University of Saint Petersburg Elctrotechnical University (LETT) . In her interaction with the students Ms.Julia Filippova, Deputy Head Of the International Academic Mobility Office outlined the various courses the University offered, the fee structures, the duration of the course. She also mentioned the way in which students could obtain a scholarship to study at the University. This session also had an interactive session with students asking queries related to studies in Russia.

Saraswathi Vidyalaya hosted Tarang 2022 from the 28th to the30th of October . The off-stage competitions took place on October 28, 2022. The competition was inaugurated by Ms.Priyanka Nair, popular film actress, Dr. G.Rajamohan, Chairman, Dr. Devi Mohan, Vice Chairperson, Smt. Shylaja O R, Principal, Secretary CDS, Adv.R S Harikumar, President CDS and Principals of various other schools were present. On October 29th and 30th, competitions of onstage items were held. At the valedictory ceremony, Ms. Sarayu Mohan distributed prizes to the winners. Three days of intense competition played out in the spirit of true sportsmanship,Saraswathi Vidyalaya won the overall trophy and Santhigiri Vidyabhavan School received the Runners Up Trophy.

A programme against the usage of drugs was conducted on 21.10.2022 in association with Red FM 93.5 for the seconday students. Dr Sanoj Jacob, Psychartist at the Government Medical College, Trivandrum spoke about the dangers that drugs posed to society . Dr. Jacob highlighted the various types of drugs that were abused and the harmful effects that it had. The need to cure this menace and to educate and sensitize the students about this was the need of the hour. In an interaction with the students Dr. Jacob answered the various queries raised and emphasized why students should keep away from this at all cost.

The inter division kho kho match for Std IX (girls) was held on 13/10/2022.The matches which saw all teams fighting tooth and nail was finally won by Std IX F defeating Std IX C in the finals

The inter division cricket tournament was conducted on 14/10/2022 for Std X. In a well contested final Std X F lifted the cup defeating Std X A. Mrs.Shylaja O. R. , Principal, Saraswathi Vidyalaya handed over the trophy to the winning team

World space week is the largest annual event in the world celebrated to create an awareness about space for the betterment of human condition by inspiring students, educating the public and fostering international co-operation in space outreach and education. Every year a theme is selected. The theme for this year is " Space and Sustainability. Department of Physics proudly announces the the commencement of space week in Saraswathi Vidyalaya from October 6th to October 10th.

Shankaran Unni from LKG C won two silver medals in the Trivandrum district roller skating championship in age category of below 5 years

Jashwanth.P of Class 5A took part in the SHITO RYU KARATE DO INTERNATIONAL DISTRICT KARATE CHAMPIONSHIP 2022 held at TR Indoor badminton court , Kudamanbhagam, Thiruvananthapuram on October 8th and 9th 2022 and was placed first in the Colour belt individual Kata event ,under 10 years boys category and placed third in the colour belt individual kumite event ,under 10 years boys category ( + 30kg)

At the District Athletic Championship, Niranjana V of Std VI C won a gold medal for 100 m and a bronze medal for 50 m sprint respectively in the under 12 category. We congratulate our student and may her aspirations of doing better be fulfilled

At the Trivandrum District Roller Skating Championship, Pranav P Nair won two gold medals and one silver medal in the under 9-11 category. We are proud of our student and hope that he continues his winning streak.

To encourage conservation and the preservation of animals, this years Wild Life Week was held under the theme "RECOVERING KEY SPECIES FOR ECOSYSTEM RESTORATION." An awareness campaign for students was organized by ECO CLUB members at Saraswathi Vidyalaya to commemorate National Wild Life Week. Students held an interactive session and stressed the significance and relevance of conservation, protecting wild species, and sustainability using placards and pamphlets.

An orientation session regarding availing various careers and opportunities in more than 50 countries ,1000 Universities and Colleges was conducted in the school today in an effort to expose class XII students to the various possibilities they could explore in terms of higher studies

Gowri Sankar V of VII E won Second place in doubles in AlTA( All India Tennis Tournament) Talent Series under 14 held at Trivandrum organized by Directorate of Sports and Youth affairs and Sports Kerala Foundation.She received the prize from M S Krishnakumar of Trivandrum Tennis Club who is the Captain of Indian Masters’ tennis team.We congratulate our student and wish her further success

To commemorate the memory of Mahatma Gandhiji, father of our nation, Saraswathi Vidyalaya undertook a few activities. The programme started with a prayer service by students, where two of Gandhiji’s favourite hymns, were rendered. In the afternoon, the Students took on a cleanliness drive in the school premise promising to uphold the ideals of simplicity and orderliness in society. They also took a pledge against the usage of drug.

Exhibition improves the creativity idea of a student and allows them to think beyond their text books. Our school Saraswathi Vidyalaya held a very interesting exhibition for students "Student Led Conference" for grade 2 and 3.The exhibits were attractive and colourful and had been prepared and designed well by the students with guidence from the teachers. It was a treat to watch our children with high confidence and passion and was really a standout.

It was with a lot of expectation and wonder that the students looked forward to the visit of the cast and crew of the film “Saturday night”. Film actors Nivin Pauly, Aju Varghese, Shiju Wilson , Shaiju Kurup, Saniya Iyyapan, Malavika and people associated with the film spent time talking to our students, exchanging their experiences and at the same time participating in a friendly banter with the students. The official launch of Lakshya - the shooting range in the school was also unveiled.The program ended by the actors requesting the audience to watch the film.

Every event at SARASWATHI VIDYALAYA deserves a shout out and one of the events that deserves it now was the SLC exhibition held at SARASWATHI VIDYALAYA by the children of JKG ,SKG and grade 1. The exhibition mainly showcased wonderful , innovative and informative talents and ideas of the students in every aspect with the help of their teachers .These small kids spoke about their exhibits so well that the parents too felt very proud of their children.

The school safety programme SAFETY BEGINS WITH ME was held at Saraswathi Vidyalaya on August 29 and 30. The programme was divided into two interactive sessions, with Dr Pratheesh C. Maman, Mr Jomon Yohannan, and their teams in charge of each. Children were taught about cyclones, rain, early warning systems, and other survival techniques. They also saw a puppet presentation about the need for environmental conservation.

Onam, the festival of unity, joy, peace, and prosperity, was celebrated at Saraswathi Vidyalaya on September 1st, 2022, with a variety of cultural events. After suffering through a pandemic for two long years, the students positive attitudes could be seen in the way they set up ornate flower carpets and greeted Maveli. Activities like as Vadamvali, or tug of war, musical chairs, Uriyadi, thiruvathira, and onapattu were among the many festivities associated with Onam. Our little ones wore traditional attire while dressing up as Maveli, vamanan, etc.  In the kg block, they had pulikali, music, and dancing.

It is always a matter of pride when our students do well in their examinations and a pleasure to celebrate and acknowledge their efforts. Merit day was observed on 13th August 2022 to honour the school toppers in the 12th Board Examinations and those who had done exceptionally well. After the official function there was some entertainment programmes arranged by the junior students. It was a very heart warming day when memories were shared and friendships renewed.

"SARGOTSAV"- the Arts Festival conducted every year to give a platform for students to display their talents, was held on 26th and 27th of August 2022. The fest got off to a start with multi-talented, gifted playback singer, Dr.Vaikom Vijayalakshmi inaugurating the function by lighting the lamp and enthralling the audience with her talents. The two days fest got off to witnessing intense competition among the students but in the end everyone experienced moments which would last for a long time.

The first step in becoming a worthy citizen is inculcating leadership skills. In school, we train each of our students to have leadership qualities. Those who lead the way are chosen to be part of the school cabinet and others given responsible positions. The Investiture Ceremony for this academic year was held on 12.08.2022. Mr.D Rajeev, IOFS, Excise Commissioner and CEO of Vimukthi Mission was our honoured guest who presented the badges and stars to the prefects. Mrs Shylaja O.R, Principal, Saraswathi Vidyalaya administered the oath in a solemn ceremony that maintained the dignity of the ceremony. Dr.Devi Mohan, Vice Chairperson, Saraswathi Vidyalaya, presented the momento to the Chief Guest as a token of our appreciation .

Gowrishankar of Class 7E, emerged the winner in the 35th GV Raja Memorial Tennis Championship conducted by the Trivandrum Tennis Club. We wish our student many more such achievements.

PELIGA-2K22- INTER DEPARTMENTAL FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT The much anticipated Peliga-2K22, the inter-depatmental football tournament organised by class XII Physical Education Students, got off to a colourful start on the 29th July 2022. The inaugural function had our tiny tots from the Kindergarten section who came with balloons and marched in with the particiating teams. Students from senior school followed it with a very energetic dance performance. The inauguration came to an end with Dr Devi Mohan, Vice Chairperson and Mrs Shylaja O . R , Principal kicking the ball into the goal post. The enthusiasm on the field was one to see with students giving it their best after getting back to active competitions after nearly two years. El Fugo (Dept of Computer Science) defeated Black Devils by a margin of 1-0 in a thrilling final on 30th July 2022. Other prizes were as follows- Best goal keeper-Yasin XII C Top Scorer- Nandu Krishnan XII B Fair Play Team- Forca Best Jersy- Forca. Mrs Shylaja O. R. Principal handed over the trophy to the winning team and distributed the other prizes as well.

World Environment Day Only One Earth- One Home In the universe are billions of galaxies In our galaxy are billions of planets But there is only one earth. Saving the earth means saving life. Saraswathi Vidyalaya has always been in forefront in implanting the seeds of awareness in young minds so that they could play a key role in making conscious choices in nurturing Mother Earth. Honouring this remarkable day, a painting competition was held at school on the topic Save Environment on June 5th encouraging students to ponder over on this issue of global concern. Edubition- Invention, Innovation &Implementation,the Science Exhibition organized by the Science department of Saraswathi Vidyalaya was inaugurated by Dr. Madhavan Nampoothri K,Senior Principal Scientist, CSIR on 26 July 2022.The two day exhibition will have different innovative models and will go towards the aim of fostering the scientific temper of students. Mrs Shylaja O. R. , Principal while thanking the Chief Guest also congratulated the Science Department and students for this endeavour. Dr Arun Surendran, Principal Trinity Engineering College and Dr Devi Mohan, Vice Chairperson visited the science exhibition and appreciated students efforts in building many creative scientific models

Saraswathi Vidyalaya did remarkably well in the 10th class exam, too, following the results of the CBSE 12th class examinations. Two hundred and seventy-six of the two hundred and ninety-five exam takers received first-class grades, 197 received a distinction, and 276 scored at least 90%. A score of 98.6 put Devikrishna in the first place.

An orientation session was conducted for students and parents of Class 11 who are back to school after a long time. Dr. Arun B Nair was the guest of honour. Principal Mrs. Shylaja O.R. welcomed the gathering. Vice Chairperson Dr Devi Mohan was also present during the session. Dr. Arun explained all possible problems and its solution that students face in this age group. The role of parents was explained and discussed with parents. In an interactive session many parents shared their anxieties with him and cleared their doubts.

The long cherished dream on our way to achieving standards of whole some education was reached when a swimming pool Sarovar in our school was inaugurated by Mr. T. K. Senthil Kumar, the celebrated swimmer , winner of National and Asian swimming championships.

As part of the WWF Wild Wisdom Global Challenge 2021, Devika P of 9A (SnowLion81) emerged 1 st in the Itza – Eastern Region Live Final Quiz held on Nov 18,2021 in which 1132 students from various countries had participated. Saraswathi Vidyalaya ,Trivandrum has emerged 2 nd in the WWF Wild Wisdom Global Challenge - National Level held from 1-18 November 2021. Devika P of 9A (SnowLion81) and Akshay Krishna Sooraj of 6B (TinyWhale979) will represent our school which is one of the Global finalists for the *LIVE INTERNATIONAL FINAL* to be held on 2nd December 2021, 2 pm GMT, which will be attended by students from 30 countries. Our School is also the State winner of the Wild Wisdom School Level Challenge held from 18 - 24 September 2021, which was made possible only by the active participation of our 120 students from Classes 6 -9 .

November 1st, the red letter day , eagerly awaited by all, a day which would see the return of a routine, after more than a year due to the pandemic Covid-19. Saraswathi Vidyalaya, Trivadrum immediately sprung into action as soon as the school guidelines were announced by the State Government. The management, principal, and staff got together chalking out how to implement the protocol. The school, in collaboration with parents who were trusted, did everything possible to make the "New Normal" a reality. As the students began to arrive, the usual rush was missing due to the governments Covid protocol. School authorities and staff members greeted each student warmly, handed them a mask and sanitizer after thermal checking and sanitizing their hands as they entered the gate, and hoped and prayed that everything would be fine. It was emphasized to all that social distancing must be maintained at all time. The atmosphere was palpable as everyone was happy to be back and be among familiar surroundings. As Parvathy of XII B put it, "I couldnt sleep the night before because of the teeming excitement that had built up over the prospect of going to school the next day." Anxiety levels were lower among students because they simply wanted to be back. "The long absence from school had made me realise the importance of school in my life," said Mohammed Aasim of X A. Children felt that, on the first day, with all of its restrictions, will be imprinted in their minds for a long time for the relief and hope that it brought to all of them that, life would return to how it was before Covid.

Kerala Kaumudi in association with Saraswathi Vidyalaya, Trivandrum hosted the "Fire and Rescue" awards. Shri Sivankutty, Hble Minister for Education, Govt.of Kerala was the Chief Guest and handed over the awards. Those present on the occasion included Mr. V.K. Prasanth MLA, Mrs. B. Celebrating the 75th anniversary of Indias Independence, a series of events under Azadi Ki Amrith Mahotsav was planned by the Government of India. As part of this, a paragraph writing activity was organized for students of classes I to V. The theme for the same was The places related to Freedom Struggle. To celebrate the joy of Reading Month , a Webinar was held for the students on June 19, 2021. The resource person was Miss Kasturi Sha, an alumna and state topper in the class 12 Board Exams. The webinar drew students from the sixth to the twelfth grades. For the students, it was a unique experience. Kasturi Shas eloquent discourse and calm demeanour transported them to the magical realm of reading. Miss Kasturi Sha was able to answer every question posed by our pupils during the webinar, making it a very participatory experience.

To commemerate Doctors day, a webinar was conducted on 4th July 2021. Dr .Chandramohan .K, Surgical Oncologist , Additional Professor of RCC was our Guest for the day. Apart from being proficient in the Medical field , Dr Chandramohan also officiates as the Vice Chairman of Saraswasthi Vidyalaya . In his interaction with the students , Dr.Chandramohan outlined the current situation of covid 19 pandemic , ways and means to tackle it. He also touched upon the challenges in the medical profession and answered queries of students regarding the study of medicine and the best way to persue it .

It was a fun filled afternoon when the students of Saraswathi Vidyalaya celebrated Music Day on June 26, 2021 with Shri.G.Sreeram, Playback Singer and Asst.Director AIR, Trivandrum. In a webinar organised by the school the students not only interacted with our guest and exchanged valuable insight into the realm of music, they were also honoured when Shri Sreeram sang some of his popular songs.

Akshika Vardhaof class 9C , has bagged the 10th position in the National Schools Online Chess Championship 2021 in the under 15 Category (girls). Staving stiff competition from 153 contestants, she earned a commendable total of 6.5 points. Congratulations Akshika and may you soar higher.

In the 58th National Speed Skating Championship 2020-21 held in Punjab, Rithu Nanda Vinod of Class 9B has done the state proud by winning the Gold medal for road race 1 (1 lap) and road race 2 (1500m) respectively. She holds the distinction for winning the first ever gold in the individual category for roller skating in Kerala. We are very proud of our student and extend all our best wishes for winning more laurels.

World Environment Day is celebrated on 5th June every year across the world. The theme of World Environment Day 2021 is “Ecosystem Restoration”. It is a day to make the people more accountable for the environmental damages they do. Many activities like camps, seminars remain the central attraction of the day. Even in this pandemic situation, our school Saraswathi Vidyalaya has conducted various activities for students as we believe that through simple and small steps, together we can make a big difference.

National Education Day was celebrated on 11 the Nov. to commemorate the birth anniversary of Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad.Our school organised an online poster making contest. The future citizens of India put forth their creativity and zeal in this competition.On the whole the overwhelming participation from the students highlighted the aspect of the importance of education in a country like ours.

After revaluation of Std X, CBSE Board Examination papers, Sankari Rajesh has scored 490 marks. She now shares the top position in our school.

KAMP ,an initiative of CSIR-NISTADS conducted NASTA 2019 to assess the level of scientific temper in students from grade 5 to 10 in CBSE and State board schools . Devika. P of Saraswathi Vidyalaya, Vattiyoorkkavu, Thiruvananthapuram is the National Topper of Class VII and has won Jr. Scientist AWARD-NASTA 2019.

Students of Saraswathi Vidyalaya paid a visit to Shri MahaGanapathy Seva Graman, old age home, on 06/12/2019 as a part of NSS activity to spread joy in the festival season. In the time spent there, they interacted with the inmates over snacks and tea. Cultural programmes including song and dance were performed and solar lamps made by the students were handed over to the them.

The students of SEED Club of Saraswathi Vidyalaya visited the agricultural farm of Shri.Natarajan, Karshakashree winner at Mukkola, Trivandrum. They had an hands on experience at the farm where they saw how vegetables like spinach and fruits like banana,watermelon etc were grown. They were acquainted with the methods used for organic farming. It was an enriching experience for the students who were able to not only gather knowledge but able clear their doubts in an interaction with Mr.Natarajan.

The students of Saraswathi Vidyalaya not only excel in their classrooms but also in the field is sports. Of late they have started showing their prowess on the National scene as well. Keerthana of Std.X F was placed 3rd in high jump at the National CBSE Athletics meet. Abhishek J Nair of Std.X F, Captain of Kerala KCA (under16) was the second highest scorer in the All India Tournament with an impressive tally of 522 runs. Adding one more feather to the impressive tally was Hridya K of Std.VIII F who won the silver medal at the All Kerala Taekwondo Championship.

Keeping in mind the oncoming Board Examination, a counselling session was arranged for Std.X students on 2nd December 2019. In an interactive session, Dr.Douglas, Counselling Expert explained few techniques to keep the mind stress free and motivated the students to think positively.

Bus Safety Drill was carried out on 26/11/2019,as part of safety measures adopted at Saraswathi Vidyalaya. Involving School bus drivers, bus conductors, bus helper students and teachers, an accident scene was recreated and all modalities observed following an accident. With the active involvement of all participants, the drill was an eye opener for all.

In connection with World AIDS Day, a Blood Donation Camp and Awareness session was held on 29/11/2019 at Saraswathi Vidyalaya in association with Terumo Penpol. Adv.V.K.Prasanth, MLA inaugurated the programme.. Saraswathi Vidyalaya would like to thank all participants including Parents, Staff and Community for being a part in this noble gesture.

FIT INDIA SCHOOL WEEK

A two day workshop cum exhibition Finger Flair 2k19 was organised on 15th & 16th of November 2019 at Saraswathi Vidyalaya, lead collaborator school of hub of learning .Along with students of Saraswathi Vidyalaya, students from partner schools in the hub of learning participated in the workshop .

Saraswathi Vidyalaya celebrated childrens Day to commemorate the Birth Anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of Independent India. He was lovingly called as "Chacha Nehru" by children. A special assembly was organised to celebrate the occasion. Students of Kindergarten participated in Fancy Dress competition organised for them. The school Principal, Mrs.Shylaja O R wished all the students on the occasion of childrens day. Speeches were delivered by the students to highlight the importance of the day. Foot tapping songs performed to the times of contemporary music left everybody screaming Encore.

Saraswathi Vidyalaya organised a felicitation ceremony for the young sporting stars of the school .The Golden girl of India Padma Shri PT Usha was the chief guest of the event and bestowed honours to the following young athletes. 1.Keerthana V of class 10 F won 2 gold medals in high jump and long jump (Under 17 category) in recently conducted CBSE Athletic Meet Cluster 11. She has also qualified for Nationals. 2. Rithunanda Vinod D of Class 7 B has won 3 gold medals in Kerala Roller Skating Championship and has also qualified for Nationals . 3. Siddhant Patil of Class 10 C has won the title in Under 17 category and bagged silver medal in Under 19 category in 4th Kerala State Squash Championship. 4.Anamika LS of Class 6 G won silver medal in the first RSFI National Ranking Skating Championship 2019. 5. Subhadra Nair of Class 11 H bagged first runners up in category 17 and 19 in 4th Kerala State Squash Championship and also qualified for Nationals. 6.Amodh Nazar of Class 11 G was Captain of Kerala Team that bagged runners up trophy in Roll Ball Championship. In her address she congratulated the winners and motivated the students to be more physically active.

To commemorate the formation day of Kerala on November 1, a special assembly was conducted to highlight the significance of this day. SEED club and Saraswatham club honoured Karshakasree Awardee Shri.Natarajan in a special programme conducted in the activity hall. He was honoured by Dr.G Rajamohan, Chairman Saraswathi Vidyalaya with a Ponnada and presented a momento by Mrs.Devi Mohan, Secretary Saraswathi Vidyalaya. In the interaction with the students, Shri.Natarajan explained the need for organic farming and the benefit of it to our environment , health and society. Folk songs were rendered by the students describing the glory of Kerala.

On October 31st, Sree Chithira Thirunal Samaraka Sangeetha Natyakala Kendram conducted Ananthapuri Nritya Sangeetholsavam 2019 wherein numerous schools participated at various levels showcasing their talents and artistic flair . Every year Saraswati Vidyalaya participates with full vigour and dedication. This year too our Kindergarten stars emerged as winners in the major contests thereby filling our hearts with joy as always. This year our winners are : * Anamika P. Kerala , more fondly known as Gods own country or The land of coconuts celebrated its 63rd Birthday on 1st November. This commemoration of its formation is celebrated with equal fervour by all Keralites irrespective of caste, religion or status. This spirit of jubilation was observed by the students of Saraswathi Vidyalaya and our tiny tots came dressed in traditional attire and sang a song on Kerala to pay a tribute to its glory. Seeing them celebrate this day with such innocence filled our hearts with pride and a wish that may this great land be made more magnificent by them in future and may they keep up the spirit of being a good Malayali

Its that time of the year when India beams up with the brightness of Diwali lamps. Diwali is one of the biggest and brightest celebration of lights which literally illuminates the country with its brilliance and dazzles people with its joy. Bringing these festivities to our Kindergarten students,we celebrated the spirit of Diwali through our weekly activity- " Painting Diwali Diyas ". Each student painted his/her own diya and not just gifted them to their teachers but also took them home to add more brightness to their Diwali merriment.

Saraswathi Vidyalaya observed the Vigilance Awareness Week from 28th October to 2nd November 2019. The theme of the week was Integrity - A way of life. A plethora of activities were organised as a part of this initiative. Students initiated the week by taking Citizen Integrity Pledge to uphold high standards of honesty and integrity at all times and pledged to never take nor offer bribe. A special assembly was conducted to sensitize students about the ill effects of corruption. Students of classes VI to XII showed their concern about the theme by expressing themselves via posters and cartoons. Debate competition was conducted amongst the students of Class XI on the topic Is educational system playing a vital role in curbing corruption. Activities like elocution, slogan writing ,workshop and essay writing were conducted to spread the message of integrity. An inter- house Vigilance Awareness Quiz was organised. A human chain was formed as part of the Vigilance Awareness Week 2019.The initiative achieved the target of spreading the importance of making Integrity-A Way of Life.

Rashtriya Ekta Diwas or National Unity Day is celebrated annually on October 31 to pay tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel- Indian Freedom Fighter, Indian first deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister of Independent Indian. October 31, 2019 marks the 144th birth anniversary of the Iron Man of India. To mark this day, Saraswathi Vidyalaya conducted various activities. Students and teaching faculty members took Oath of Unity to mark National Unity Day. The institution also organized a March past to promote National Unity. Observance of this day provided an opportunity to re-affirm inherent strength, integrity and security of our country. Essay Writing Competition provided a platform for students to share their views on resilience of our nation. Through National Integration Song, students were encouraged to come closer develop a better nation.

The fruits of harvest are sweet specially when it is borne of our efforts. It was a very fulfilling day when students harvested the vegetables that they had tended to through the year. These vegetables all of organic nature had been a study for our students to be one with nature

National Wild Wisdom Quiz 2019 school level was held on 24/10/19 for middle and primary school students. Based on the basis of this,2 students from each level have been selected to represent the school for the city level

CAREER GUIDANCE WORKSHOP FOR STUDENTS With the school life coming to a conclusion, Students of Class XIIth find themselves at a juncture where they need to take pivotal decisions regarding the future course of their career. Saraswathi Vidyalaya always provides its students a strong foundation and vital support for their future. Keeping this ideology in mind, a career guidance workshop was conducted for the students of Class XII along with their parents. This workshop was mentored by Dr. B S Warrier, fondly known as Career Guru, who is an educationalist, educational mentor and renowned orator. The workshop was conducted for a duration of 3 hours and was divided into three segments. The first segment was primarily about guiding the students regarding the various courses they can pursue after their 12th Std., along with the prominent universities where they may seek admissions. In the second segment of the workshop, Dr. Warrier gave an insight into the different career oriented courses the students may consider on completing their graduation. The third segment was an interactive session wherein the students and parents were given an opportunity to clear their doubts and queries. Dr. Warrier motivated the students by giving examples of people who have succeeded in their chosen field of work through hard work, perseverance and proper guidance. The students were also advised on the numerous strategies they may adopt to confidently face interviews in future. The workshop was truly effective and was a great success in motivating the students to make appropriate career choices for themselves.

Dr.A P J Abdul Kalam Birth Anniversary and World Students Day Celebration was held on 15th October at Saraswathi Vidyalaya. The Chief Guest of the function was Padmasree M.Chandradathan, Scientific Advisor to Chief Minister and Former Director ISRO, who delivered the Inaugural address. The programme began by offering Floral Tribute to Dr.A P J Abdul Kalam. Mrs.Shylaja O R, Principal Saraswathi Vidyalaya delivered the Presidential Address. The students listened to anecdotes about Dr.Abdul Kalam from Shri.N Narayanamoorthy, Chairman Keltron. A presentation on Dr.Abdul Kalam was shown by Shri.P N Subramanian, Chairman Dr.Abdul Kalam Trust. Felicitation were done by Shri.L Muthu and Shri.C B Kartha, Members, Abdul Kalam Trust. Vote of thanks was delivered by Shri. V K Narayan, Vice Chairman Dr.Abdul Kalam Trust.

1.Cleaning of the class rooms and school campus was one of the continuing activities in the cleanliness drive. This activity was extended to the areas surrounding the school campus. 2.Plogging on 2nd October, witnessed staff and students jogging up the distance to the main junction and picking up litter on the way. 3.The need for keeping the environment clean was emphasised by organising Hand Wash Day. 4.Trees were planted in the school and sapling distributed amongst students. 5.An organic vegetable garden is being tended to by staff and students. 6.A poster competition was conducted to create awareness on the message of clean environment. 7.Senior students mentored the children of the lower classes on the need to have a clean planet, this was conveyed through placards. 8.Segregation of biodegradable and non-biodegradable objects are explained to the students and bins with colour code are placed in vantage places to facilitate this. 9.One of the objectives of the programme was Water Conservation. It was realised early that water was one of the main constituents to sustainability. A three year plan towards conserving water in school has been mooted and the blue print is being prepared. 10.Over 95 students participated in the TERI Green Olympiad 2019. This exam was conducted to develop awareness of students in conserving the environment and towards a more sustainable planet. 11.Wild Wisdom Quiz 2019 will be conducted in the month of October and 70 students have registered to participate in it. 12.To strengthen the physical capabilities of our students and to up skill their leadership qualities as well as to enhance their spirit of competition and fair play, the Physical Education Department of Saraswathi Vidyalaya encourages its students to participate in numerous intramural and extramural sports events and competitions. As a part of the internal tournaments the following matches are conducted- -Inter Class Football competition, -Inter-Department Football Competition, -Kho-Kho competition, -Cricket Matches, -March past competition, -Table Tennis Matches, -Chess Competition, -Athletics Meet. The numerous extramural events organised for the students are: -Chins Cup- inter-school football tournament, -Sahodaya Athletics Meet, -CBSE South Zone -Badminton Competition, -National Ranking Championship for Skating, -Reliance Athletic Meet, -Inter-School Swimming Competition.

In the 1st RSFI National Ranking Skating Championship 2019 held in Noida, Anamika L S of Std. VI G won the Silver Medal in the Rink I 200m, under-14 Category.

Amina H Shaji of Std.X got the Second Prize in the Drawing Competition conducted by the Forest Department to celebrate Wild Life Conservation Week. She also bagged the consolation prize in the World Space Week 2019 competitions conducted by ISRO.

At the Reliance South Zone Meet, Keerthana of Std XF won the gold medal in the high jump and long jump. She also won the silver medal in 100m hurdles in the sub junior category.

In the 4th Kerala State Squash Championship,Siddhant Patil of Std.X C won the title in the under 17 boys category and the second position in the under 19 category. Subhadra Nair of XI H emerged runners up in both under 17 and under 19 category. Rashdan of Std.X got the fourth position in the same championship.

"TARANG-2019", Capital District Sahodaya Youth Festival was held on the 3rd, 4th and 5th of October 2019 at Saraswathi Vidyalaya. A total of 12 School competed in three days of intense competition. Saraswathi Vidyalaya came up as overall winners. Tarang 19 was inaugurated by Mrs.Sreelatha Namboodiri popular cine artist. Popular Serial Artists Ms.Suchithra Nair and Kum.Sona Jaleena distributed the prizes at the Valedictory function on 5th evening.

Vijayadashami was celebrated in Saraswathi Vidyalaya in a solemn manner. Books were placed in front of the diety for blessings. Students and staff celebrated the day by offering prayers.

The 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi was celebrated in Saraswathi Vidyalaya in a solemn manner befitting the occasion. A prayer meet including "Vaishnav Jan To", the favorite bhajan of Gandhiji, was held in the morning, while paying tribute. Plogging- The FIT INDIA run saw the students jogging from school and picking up the litter on the way. A speech on Gandhiji was delivered on the previous day during the school assembly.

One of the most valuable components of the earth is soil. To know about its various types, importance and conservation, over hundred students from Std.IV were taken to the Soil Museum, Trivandrum on 19/09/19. It has been described as the worlds largest soil museum. The students were acquainted with the richness of Keralas soil and mineral resources. Exhibits included monoliths, a geologic map of Kerala, distribution of the eight soil order and through various displays the relationship of soil to the issues of climate change.

Saraswathi Vidyalaya is proud to announce that Priyadarshan P John, Gautham and Sarang S have qualified for the State level NTSE 2019. Priyadarshan P John has also qualified for the National level. We congratulate them.

Onam the festival of happiness, peace and prosperity was celebrated with great fervour at Saraswathi Vidyalaya on 5th September, 2019. The high spirit of the students reflected in the way they arranged an intricately designed flower carpet and welcomed Maveli. Onam festivities included many activities like Vadamvali or tug of war ,musical chair, Uriyadi, 7-Tiles......

“SARGOTSAV 2019, the Annual School Arts Fest organised by Saraswathi Vidyalaya was held on 30th and 31st of August ,2019. The Fest was inaugurated by Shri.Kavalam Sreekumar, noted singer. Students participated in a number of items and these two days were filled with competitions played out in the true spirit of competition.

The Sports Meet of Capital District Sahodaya was held on the 29th and 30th of August 2019, at the Central Stadium, Trivandrum. The meet was inaugurated by Mrs.Mercy Kuttan, President, Kerala Sports Council. After the March Past by all schools, 12 schools battled it out for these two days to notch up the honours. On the final day Saraswathi Vidyalaya emerged as Runners Up bagging a huge haul of medals.

Saraswathi Vidyalaya emerged as the OVERALL CHAMPIONS of LA GESTION 2K19,organised by ALAN FELDMAN School, Kazhakootam. Its a management based inter school competition where our school bagged first in Best manager, Tiki Taka and Ms &Mr. LA GESTION

SRISHTI 2K19-the Annual Inter-School Fest conducted by Saraswathi Vidhyalaya got off to a start on 17/8/2019, Saturday at 9.a.m. It was inaugurated by Shri K.S.Harishankar, popular playback singer who enthralled the audience with his performance. The function was attended by Dr. G.Rajamohan, Chairman, Mrs.Devi Mohan, Secretary, and Mrs.Shylaja O R, Principal Saraswathi Vidyalaya.The fest has seen a keen contest among 12 schools from Trivandrum for the championship.

Keerthana V of XF made us proud again by winning gold medal with a new meet record of 2592 points in Pentathlon and got silver medal in long jump at the Trivandrum District Athletic Championship held at university stadium on 15 August 2019

Saraswathi Vidyalaya celebrated 73rd Independence Day with great zeal and patriotic fervour in the school ground with the staff, students and parents. On this special occasion, the programme started with flag hoisting by the Chairman of the school, Dr G. Rajamohan. The Chairman addressed the gathering appealing to their nationalistic spirit and urging them to take pride in being an Indian and fulfilling ones duty with responsibility. The Principal, Mrs. Shylaja O R highlighted the importance of celebrating the spirit of freedom and our rich cultural heritage. The gamut of celebration consisted of special morning assembly, impressive parade, PT and yoga display. This was followed by a musical rendition of patriotic songs by the school choir. The programme ended on a note of national pride and honour with everybody rising to sing national anthem.

Saraswathi Vidyalaya organised Science and Mathematics exhibition- “EDUBITION 2019” in the school premises. This was inaugurated by our chairman Dr.G Rajmohan and our Principal Mrs.Shylaja O R on 2nd August 2019. Participants shared their creative ideas and solutions to everyday challenges through charts, still and working models and power point presentations. Intra school exhibition was on 2nd August 2019 and interschool exhibition on 3rd August 2019. This Exhibition is conducted every year in order to keep the curiosity and to develop the scientific temperament of the students.

Tinker Fest 2019, organised by Saraswathi Vidyalaya was inaugurated by Sri.K.C.Reghunatha Pillai,eminent scientist. He was among the team involved in the successful launch of Chandrayaan 2. Students of various schools partipated and presented their projects based on ideas deliberated through mentoring sessions.

Saraswathi Vidyalaya under the aegis of Trivandrum District Administration, collected relief materials to be distributed to the flood affected in Assam. In an overwhelming gesture, all students and staff contributed generously in this noble venture.

Saraswathi Vidyalaya has been crowned as Runners up in CRE 8 - 2019, an event organised by Lecole Chempaka. We bagged First Prizes in FUSION X, PALLETE PLAY, GALLERY AWARD,PROJECT RUN AWAY, STORY WALL and Second Prizes in Encore. Well done Team Saraswathi Vidyalaya.

Students were yet again made to undergo the evacuation and rescue drill. Teachers, Staff and Students actively took part in the exercise to be ready to face any such eventuality. Safety of staff and student being a priority, routine checks are made to maintain this. As part of these measures, a mock fire drill was held on 23rd June 2019.

Saraswathi Vidyalaya congratulates all Indians for the historic launch of Chandrayaan 2 and wishes the mission great success in the landing and exploration of the Lunar South pole an area as yet not attempted by anyone else in the world. We are very proud of everyone at team ISRO who have achieved this feat with sheer hard work and perseverance. We would specially like to mention the following scientists at team ISRO who have made Kerala proud. They are Mr. M Bhasheer, Mr.S Somanath, Mr.Kunzi Krishnan, Mr.J Jayaprakesh, Mr.K C Ragunatha Pillai, Mr.P M Abraham. Lastly it gives us immense joy to point out that Mr.K C Reghunatha Pillai is the husband of our physics faculty Mrs.Sushama M S. Thank you Sir. Your achievements will surely motivate the young minds of our School and inspire them to literally touch the moon in times to come.

The first step in becoming a worthy citizen is in inculcating leadership skills. At school, we train each of our students to have leadership qualities. Those who lead the way are chosen to be part of the school cabinet and others given responsible position. The Investiture Ceremony for this academic year was held on 11.07.2019. Mrs Anu Kumari, IAS, Assistant Collector, Thiruvananthapuram was our honoured guest who presented the badges and stars to the prefects. Mrs Shylaja O.R, Principal administered the oath in a solemn ceremony that maintained the dignity of the ceremony.

The Annual Interdepartments Football Tournament, PELIGA, was held on 27th and 28th of June 2019. As in the preceding years, this generated a lot of interest in the students who went about designing colourful jerseys and posters for their teams. Mrs.Shylaja O R, Principal inaugurated the tournament which was followed by a display of aerobics. All the teams performed well and in a keenly contested final EL-MEJOR (PHYSICAL EDUCATION DEPARTMENT) defeated WOLVES FC (MATHS-ÇOMPUTER).

World Music Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm on 22/06/2019 in Saraswathi Vidyalaya. Music knows no barriers. What better way to celebrate it but with a session of music Renowned singer, Shri.Kallara Gopan was the chief guest. A proud parent of our school, he was all praise for the role Saraswathi Vidyalaya had played in shaping his daughter, Narayani Gopan. Ms.Narayani Gopan, our proud alumni has done us proud with her singing. Narayani and a host of our alumni led from the front in making this day a memorable one.

World Yoga Day was celebrated on 21/06/2019. The importance of Yoga Day was explained in the morning assembly. Yoga Day was commemorated with students visiting the International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre, Kattakada and Mass Yoga demonstration by staff and students of the school.

Reading is a habit which should be explored for its potential for opening up the world in a whole new perspective. Reading Day is being celebrated as Reading Week in Saraswathi Vidyalaya. Every day the life and works of a celebrated writer is read out in the morning assembly. A “Reading Tree” has been created where students hang their reading experience as “Leaves”. The programmes lined up include quiz competition for students of Std III to VII.

An orientation session by Dr.L R Madhujan, eminent psychologist was held for parents and students of std.XI. Mrs.Shylaja O R, Principal welcomed the gathering and Dr.G Rajamohan, Chairman delivered the introductory speech. Dr. Madhujan was able to throw light on the various issues faced by adolescents and how they could be tackled. He was also able to address the various queries that were put to him regarding stress and the general impatient behaviour seen in today’s youth. The session was seen as a way to further and solicit the cooperation of parents in the development of their wards emotional behaviour.

Saraswathi Vidyalaya was felicitated by Kerala Blood Donor Society on 14th June 2019 .The honours was done by Mr.Lokhnath Behera,Chief City Police,Kerala State, at a function held in Vylopilli Samskrithi Bhavan for participating in the Blood Donation drive. Among the 20 institutions selected for the award, Saraswathi Vidyalaya was the only school to be honoured.

Saraswathi Vidyalaya emerged second in the “Shreshtha Bharathan” reality show conducted by Amritha TV. Over forty schools had participated in this competition. The participants were awarded with a trophy, certificate and a cash award of Rs One Lakh

World Environment day celebration at Saraswathi Vidyalaya began with a speech during the morning assembly outlining the importance of conserving the environment and the need to plant more trees. The theme of this year “Beat Air Pollution”, was explained to the students. This was followed by a poem on the wonders of environment penned by Shrimati Sugathakumari. A pledge by the entire staff and students was taken. Saplings were distributed to students in an effort to encourage this habits among them.

An orientation programme on ‘The Hubs of Learning and other initiatives’ was conducted for school principals by CBSE at Saraswathi Vidyalaya on 31th May 2019. A total number of 343 Principals representing Trivandrum, Kollam,Pattanamtitta and Alapuzha attended this session. Among the dignitaries present were Dr.Joseph Emmanuel, Director CBSE New Delhi, Mr. Sachin Thakur, Regional Officer Trivandrum Region, Mr.Manish Thagi, Head,Centre of Excellence CBSE Trivandrum,Mr.Rajib Barua,Asst.Sec., CBSE,Trivandrum, Section Officers, CBSE Trivandrum,Mr.Raman and Mr.Pankaj, Dr.G Rajamohan, Chairman, Saraswathi Vidyalaya, and Mrs.Shylaja O R, Principal ,Saraswathi Vidyalaya. The Session began with a Prayer. Mrs.Shylaja O R welcomed the gathering. Mr.Sachin Thakur, RO explained the need for publishing board results on time and also explained few initiatives taken by CBSE in the years to come. Dr.Joseph Emmanuel explained the new assessment pattern and the new subjects introduced by CBSE. Mr. Manish Thagi through a power point presentation explained the role, the lead schools are expected to undertake in order to bring all round development in CBSE schools. After this ,an interactive session between Principals and CBSE officials were held, where a lot of queries were looked into. Mr.Pankaj delivered the Vote of Thanks.

Saraswathi Vidyalaya welcomed its new batch of Lkg students for the academic year 2019-20 with new hopes, new dreams and new heights to achieve. Being a paramount landmark in the academic journey of a student the first day of school is always special and memorable. While the students seemed to settle in quickly in their new environment, the parents participated in an orientation programme organised by the school. Dr. L R Madhujan an eminent psychologist and Director of the renowned rehabilitation center Karunasai (Vellanadu) was our guest speaker. This interactive session was very interesting and truly inspiring. The main topics addressed during the session were related to parental guidance along with provision of ample encouragement and motivation, significance of enhancing the inquisitive nature in children, methods to bring a balance in their socio emotional state and various techniques for impartation of moral values . A very positive feedback was provided by the parents. Hence the first day of our toddlers was an absolute success in every sense of the word.

Space Week 2018 was celebrated with a wide array of activities. Class VI participated in a competition where they had to suggest a theme for next year’s space week. STD VII were made to write a script on the topic ‘Human life in Mars’. Class XI students conducted a quiz program for students of classes VIII, IX and Xth. Students also participated in the Quiz and Painting competitions conducted by ISRO.

The World Mental Health Day was observed on October 10th 2018. The theme for this year was ‘Youth and Mental Health in the changing world’. In a series of programmes undertaken by the Psychology Department, a short talk was delivered in the morning assembly regarding the importance of mental health. In the afternoon session, a poster making competition with this year’s theme was conducted. The prize winners for the same are Amina H Shaji of IX C, Sera Mariyam Binny of XI H and Krithika P of VIII D who bagged first, second and third respectively.

As a regular feature,girl students were engaged in a fruitful exchange with the school counsellors. Dr Raji Mathew spoke to the students about dilemas they may face emotionally in there adolescence and how they should learn to deal with it.The session also touched upon the physical changes that take place during this period and how personal hygiene be given attention.

In the 62nd Trivandrum District Athletic Championship 2018, held at Chandrashekar Nair Stadium on the 24th of September,Keerthana .V made us proud by securing the first position in the under 16 high jump competition. We congragulate her on winning this laurel

Saraswathi Vidyalaya in association with Malayala Manorama conducted a session on Disaster Management due to natural calamities like earth quakes, floods, tsunami, cyclone and lightening on 04-10-2018. They also brought into focus road accidents which seem to be rampant today. Resource personnel from the Institute of Land and Disaster Management conducted the session.

On the occasion of 150th birthday of Mahatma Gandhi school observed ‘Swatchh Bharath- Swatchh Vidyalaya’ campaign on 2nd October. Students, teachers and non-teaching staff enthusiastically cleaned the school premises and outside. The ‘Swatchh Vidyalaya’ was the motto of the day.

The Surgical Strike-29th September The students were given a large canvas to exhibit their innate respect and love towards the Indian Army. The students free handedly expressed their ardent love towards the soldiers by innumerable quotes and sketches. The day was thoughtfully dedicated to the Indian Army. A big salute to our soldiers who guard us day and night and therefore we sleep peacefully.

To keep with the evolving trends and initiatives taken in the educational front, Saraswathi Vidyalaya conducted a comprehensive workshop for kindergarten teachers on 29th September 2018.”Early childhood care and education” was mentored by Ms.Anjana vissa, the Academic head pre-primary Orient Black Swan, 135 pre-primary teachers from various schools in and around Trivandrum participated to get a hand –on-experience with learning activities associated with young children
