CAREER GUIDANCE WORKSHOP FOR STUDENTS With school life coming to a conclusion, Students of Class XIIth find themselves at a juncture where they need to take pivotal decisions regarding the future course of their career. Saraswathi Vidyalaya always provides its students a strong foundation and vital support for their future. Keeping this ideology in mind, a career guidance workshop was conducted for the students of Class XII along with their parents. This workshop was mentored by Dr. B S Warrier, fondly known as Career Guru, who is an educationalist, educational mentor and renowned orator. The workshop was conducted for a duration of 3 hours and was divided into three segments. The first segment was primarily about guiding the students regarding the various courses they can pursue after their 12th Std., along with the prominent universities where they may seek admissions. In the second segment of the workshop, Dr. Warrier gave an insight into the different career oriented courses the students may consider on completing their graduation. The third segment was an interactive session wherein the students and parents were given an opportunity to clear their doubts and queries. Dr. Warrier motivated the students by giving examples of people who have succeeded in their chosen field of work through hard work, perseverance and proper guidance. The students were also advised on the numerous strategies they may adopt to confidently face interviews in future. The workshop was truly effective and was a great success in motivating the students to make appropriate career choices for themselves.
