Providing platforms that enable young talent to confidently come forward and exhibit their skills is essential. One such opportunity was presented to the students of Saraswathi Vidyalaya when Young Indians Trivandrum Chapter organised a short essay writing competition for students of high school. Students were expected to present their perspective on the topic ‘How will the Vizhinjam International Sea Port Change Our Thiruvananthapuram?’. The competition was conducted in English, as well as, in Malayalam and a total of ten essays were to be submitted. Our faculty encouraged all budding writers to come forward and creatively present their outlook on the given topic and the top ten essays were forwarded for final judgement. It was a celebrative moment when two of our students, Mydhili R, of Class 9, and Ishitha Nair, of Class 10, were selected among the top performers. These selected students will receive an opportunity to visit the Vizhinjam Port and interact with the VISL authorities, along with the YI Trivandrum team. They will also be awarded winner certificates and prizes , while all other participants will receive a certificate of participation for their efforts. Saraswathi Vidyalaya looks forward to facilitating similar venues for our budding geniuses to exhibit their talents and develop their creative potential. We congratulate the winners and all the other participants for their performance.
